Défi de Muhlbach, 32 km, 1650m+, 17th May 2020.
The race starts at 9am in front of the sports hall in Muhlbach-sur-Munster.
After leaving Mulhbach and passing through Metzeral the course will take you through the beautiful Vallée de la Wormsa – this is a technically difficult part of the race. It climbs up to the small lakes Fischboedlé, and then Schiessrothried, before continuing onto the Hohneck, the highest point of the race (1363m). Here there is an amazing view of the valley on one side and the Swiss Alpes on the other. The race meanders along the Vosges ridge line before heading down to another small lake, Altenweiher, this descent is also quite technical. There is another climb before the race heads back to Muhlbach via Mittlach and Sondernach.
All runners are treated to the traditional “Marcaires” meal on arrival in Muhlbach (included in the entry price).
