The Trail des Marcaires will take you on a tour of the Munster valley passing through the famous Wormsa valley, the Fischboedlé, Schiessrothried and Altenweiher lakes, real jewels of the massif. You will pass through the Hohneck and walk along the Vosges peaks offering you a 360 degree view and a magnificent panorama of the valley and the Swiss Alps. You will be rewarded for your efforts on arrival by the friendly atmosphere, the traditional meal and the craft beer. The Trail des Marcaires (63km/3310m D+) is a sporting competition open to experienced runners and not to hikers. It takes place in the middle of nature and in semi-autonomy on a marked route, between 437 and 1363 meters above sea level.

The Trail des Marcaires gives 3 ITRA points  and 6 mountain points to finishers and has an UTMB Index 50k.

The Trail des Marcaires is part of the 2024 Trophée des Vosges.

12km 570 d+

On this route you will take the famous valley of the Wormsa which represents a rather technical passage. You will arrive at Lake Fischboedlé, then the Schiessrothried lake, real gems of the valley. You will continue your ascent to the Hohneck, the highest point of the race which will offer you a 360 degree panorama and a view of the Swiss Alps. You can then continue your effort on the Vosges peaks before descending towards Lake Altenweiher, a fairly technical descent. You will go up towards the Koepflé, yet another small hill, following a narrow technical path in places. Then you will descend straight down the (very steep) slope to Mittlach to refuel before heading back in the direction of Sondernach and heading towards the finish, not forgetting the two final steep slopes.

The Défi de Muhlbach gives 2 ITRA points to finishers and has a UTMB index of 20k.

P'tite Course des Marcaires
Sunday 9 June 09:00

The P'tite Course des Marcaires, not so easy as that, will take you under the Petit Ballon to the Ilienkopf by trails and paths to the climb up to the German cemetery. From Ilienkopf to the finish, take a path parallel to that of 63 km and 33 km to complete the course and return to Muhlbach. This short but punchy race is a real little trail.

You will find the 2024 route on Petite Course des Marcaires
